Forza Motorsport 6 gets wet weather and 24-car multiplayer this September

Turn 10 Studios has spilled a load of motorcar-shaped beans all over the stage at Microsoft's E3 press conference, and they look delicious. For starters, the game will run at 1080p and 60fps. Hopefully applies to the reflections and rear-view mirrors too this time) but, either way, the impressive stats don't stop there.

You'll be racing 450 cars across 26 destinations (and it's very likely many of these destinations will feature additional track layouts too). But, perhaps the most exciting feature is the prospect of 24-car multiplayer. That's big. That's a lot of cars. Although quite how they're all going to get through turn one at any track remains to be seen (clue: they won't). At least the demo concluded with a car hitting a tyre wall and launching individually-rendered tyres flying into the air and clattering across the track.

Also new for this outing is wet-weather racing. And it looks like there is virtually zero grip on wet grass, which is exactly how it should be. Spin! Spin! Spin! (And other words to that effect).

There will be a bonus for gamers who pre-order the game, and a track in Rio de Janeiro was shown as the announcement was made, so maybe this will take the form of an exclusive track. The game will be out exclusively on Xbox One on September 15, 2015 - Preorder it now.

Check back for more details on Forza Motorsport 6 as soon as we have them.
