Freewheelin' with Ubisoft
[Wii] Ubisoft's new driving peripheral puts the "eel" in "Wii"
GR: There don't appear to be pedals, either, so how exactly will acceleration and braking factor in? Face buttons? Tilting the wheel?
TM: For GT Pro Series, the 1 and 2 buttons correspond to accelerate and brake. For Monster 4x4 World Circuit, the 1 and 2 buttons on the remote also correspond to accelerate and brake. During races, players can collect Nitro items to boost speed. Players will push the Wheel toward the screen to use the Monster Nitro boost! It's much more fun to interact with the Wii controller this way than just pushing another button.
GR: Are there any features to the wheel that aren't immediately noticeable by looking at it?
TM: The Wheel is very simple and easy to use. Just place the Wii controller in the center of the Wheel and players will be ready to drive.
