First Glimpse At Mega City One
Bleeding Cool has a few pics of South Africa’s Cape Town Civic Centre doubling up as Mega City One in the new Dredd film (click on the image or link to see more). Not much like the city we know from the comics yet. Presumably they’ll be working some CG wonders.

Scriptflags has posted what its source claims to be concept designs for Ridley Scott’s new Alien prequel move, specifically of the Space Jockey (but there’s no 100% proof that they are).
“The Pandorica Opens” Wins FX Award
Doctor Who ’s CG FX team The Mill has won the Digital Effects award at this year’s Royal Television Society Craft and Design Awards for it’s work on the episode “The Pandorica Opens”, reports Gallifrey Base . According to the RTS: “The judges were impressed by some beautifully-integrated effects and by green screen. ‘This is about as good as it gets on TV’ they said.” Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss’s Sherlock won three awards: best picture enhancement, best tape and film editing in a drama, and best original title music.
