Friday The 13th to be R rated
Will include 'sex, drugs and a really, really long sharp machete'
Bloody Disgusting has spoken to Brad Fuller, producer of the upcoming Friday The 13th remake about the 'net rumours that Platinum Dunes are keen to keep Friday The 13th PG-13.
We're not sure why the fanboys thought that, especially as Dunes' other remakes - Texas Chainsaw Massacre and The Hitcher included - haven't exactly skimped on the red stuff, brand synergy, perhaps?
Anyway, it's nonsense, according to Fuller: “How do you remake a rated R horror movie and take the guts out literally and figuratively? What is F13 without sex, drugs and a really, really long sharp machete? And why would we, horror fans ourselves, produce a movie devoid of the things that made the title so appealing in the first place. So let me say for the record, that the F13 that we start shooting this Thursday is a full bodied, rated R film."
