Fringe Creators Planning Sleepy Hollow TV Show
Underworld and Total Recall remake director Len Wiseman to helm pilot, which will see the story moved to a contemporary setting
Fringe co-creators and Transformers , Star Trek and Mission Impossible 3 writersAlex Kurtzman %26 Roberto Orci are developing a new TV show based on The Legend Of Sleepy Hollow .
According to Deadline , Len Wiseman ( Underworld , Total Recall remake) is set to direct the pilot. The project will shortly be shopped around the networks, looking for a home.
Kurtzman and Orci are writing the pilot with up-and-coming writer Phillip Iscove, who came up with the concept. The show will update Washington Irving’s 1820 short story to a modern day supernatural thriller, with a contemporary Ichabod Crane teaming up with the local law enforcement of Sleepy Hollow (including the town's female sheriff).

Let’s hope Kurtzman and Orci have more luck with this than they did with their TV project last year, Locke and Key , the pilot for which was, apparently, excellent, but the Fox Network still wouldn’t give it the green light. Remember that the next time you watch Touch …
