Just Jared had posted some great on-set shots from the filming of Fringe season five (there are loads more if you click on the Just Jared link), which gives us a teasing taste of the very different format we’re going to be seeing in the final year of the show. Apparently, it’s all set in the future we were shown in the season four episode “Letters Of Transit” where the Observers were running the show. But that doesn’t explain why Peter is now some sort of cop… We're most intrigued by the tattoo on Peter's face – in "Letters Of Transit" humans loyal to the Observers had similar facial markings. Has Peter changed sides? Or – more likely – is he undercover? We can't wait to find out...
Fringe season five begins airing in the US on 28 September.
