Galaxy Quest TV show on the way
It may be 15 years since Galaxy Quest first hit the big screen, but there's life in the property yet, with Variety reporting that Paramount is developing a TV show based on the sci-fi comedy.
For those unfamiliar with the film (hang your heads in shame), it tells the story of the cast of a sci-fi TV show who inadvertently find themselves embroiled in a real-life intergalactic conflict. One to dig out on Netflix at your earliest convenience.
The film's co-writer, Robert Gordon, is reportedly in talks to write a pilot episode, while original director Dean Parisot and producer Mark Johnson could also come on board in an advisory capacity. No word as yet regarding any potential cast returns.
Paramount has yet to release any official comment, although it has already embarked upon a similar project in the form of Nickelodeon's School Of Rock series.
