Game & Watch: The Legend of Zelda is here to celebrate the series' 35th anniversary
Following on from the success of the Limited Edition Game & Watch: Super Mario Bros. edition last year, Nintendo is now celebrating the 35th anniversary of the Legend of Zelda series with a brand new Game & Watch. This modern take on Nintendo's original handheld is the perfect opportunity to celebrate Link's early years, with the Game & Watch: The Legend of Zelda edition taking us back to enjoy the first three games in the series in a delightfully retro package.
The Game & Watch: The Legend of Zelda console comes pre-installed with three iconic Zelda titles. You get the very first link adventure The Legend of Zelda, Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, and original version of The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening - so you can compare yourself how the 2019 remaster differs.
Retailing for £44.99 / $49.99, this is a slick new edition of one of the original Game & Watch console designs, but with a stunning gold and green colour scheme that's fitting for the Legend of Zelda series, and a modern LCD colour screen for that 21st-century spin. There's even a lovely touch on the rear, where you'll find a Tri-Force symbol that lights up while you're playing.
Small enough to fit in your pocket, it also features a rechargeable battery, and USB-C charging - just like the Switch - meaning you can take this Game & Watch wherever you go.

To celebrate the Game & Watch origins, the Game & Watch: The Legend of Zelda also comes with a Link-themed twist on a classic Game & Watch title, Vermin, where you clobber moles with a mallet.
There's also another new feature for the Game & Watch: The Legend of Zelda in the form of a digital clock - perfect for your desk or bedside table. Handily the box the Game & Watch: The Legend of Zelda console comes in doubles as a little stand for using it as a clock too.
It's the perfect little device for brushing up on your Zelda knowledge ahead of the launch of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild sequel that's dropping next year exclusively on Nintendo Switch.
The Game & Watch: The Legend of Zelda edition launched on November 12. Find out more here.
