Game of Thrones' Kit Harington and Emilia Clarke predict their characters' reactions to a family revelation

WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD

Game of Thrones audiences now know, in no uncertain terms, that Jon Snow is not the bastard son of Eddard Stark. He is in fact Aegon Targaryen, son of Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark. That makes Jon Dany's nephew, and Dany Jon's aunt. But just because we know doesn't mean Jon and Daenerys know. So how do actors Kit Harington and Emilia Clarke think their characters will handle the news when they inevitably find out?

That was the question posed by Entertainment Weekly in a recent interview with Harington and Clarke. And it was Clarke who gave the more... colorful response. "Ewwwww!" she cried, laughing as she did. "I think that's how it’s going to go. I get the toothbrush..." It was at this point that Clarke began to mime scrubbing her tongue - though judging by the finale's scene of Dany and Jon having sex, she may want to rinse more than just her mouth.

On a more serious note, Jon's parentage means that he has a (slightly) more legitimate claim to the Iron Throne than Dany does. That doesn't sit too well with Clarke, and may not sit well with her on-screen counterpart, either. "I've worked so hard, I don’t want to share that throne," she told EW. "No. The throne's big enough for one dragon bum, and that's mine. That's it!"

Harington was likewise coy about what this means for the pair's future interactions, but was a bit more tight-lipped on the matter. What will Jon do when he finds out he's been an unwitting participant in incest? "That part of it, I can’t predict," he said. "It could be them walking off into the sunset. It could be them killing each other."

All he told EW was the same thing he told his co-star: "It's going to be a really cool scene when they find out."
