Game of Thrones season 7's Conor McGregor cameo rumoured to be as one of Euron's sailors
It looks like UFC champion Conor McGregor has added a new title to his list of honors: crewmate of the Silence in Game of Thrones season 7. UFC president Dana White confirmed in an interview with Fox Sports Live that the Irish mixed martial artist will appear in the show's penultimate season.
"I knew that a few months ago, that they were interested in putting him in the show," White said. "I'm glad he did it, it'll be great. The show's huge, it's awesome, and I'm excited for him."
Then Game of Thrones fansite Watchers on the Wall went a step further: it cites an anonymous source who said McGregor will appear as one of the sailors on Euron Greyjoy's ship, the Silence. According to the report it will be a small cameo part, and you definitely shouldn't expect a speaking role since Euron personally rips the tongues out of all of his sailors' mouths. Not too much reason to be concerned about McGregor's acting credentials, then.
Game of Thrones season 7 will debut in summer 2017.

I got a BA in journalism from Central Michigan University - though the best education I received there was from CM Life, its student-run newspaper. Long before that, I started pursuing my degree in video games by bugging my older brother to let me play Zelda on the Super Nintendo. I've previously been a news intern for GameSpot, a news writer for CVG, and now I'm a staff writer here at GamesRadar.
