Your chance to win a genuine prop from the smash hit new fantasy series
Normally we wouldn’t big up somebody else’s competition, but the prize here is so darned unique we don’t mind sending you in HBO’s direction.
Over here in the UK, Sky Atlantic, you may have heard, has just started screening HBO’s Game Of Thrones , the epic fantasy series based on the books by George RR Martin, and it’s already a massive hit and fan favourite. To celebrate, HBO is offering fans the ultimate prize – an authentic prop from the series.
Up until 20 May, fans can visit the UK HBO online store to enter for the chance to win a set of three Dragon Eggs, complete in a golden chest, as seen in the Game of Thrones pilot episode.
Five runners up will also be given £75 worth of vouchers to spend at the online store, where you can buy t-shirts like the ones below. In fact, the site has come up with a cunning plan to make sure we keep going back to check the site – themed weeks. Each Monday the HBO Shop will premiere new product – which may include glassware, jewellery and posters – based on the theme of that week’s episode. The first seven themes are:
Week 1 (available already): House of Stark
Week 2 (available already): House of Lannister
Week 3 (2 May): House of Baratheon + Iron Throne
Week 4 (9 May): House of Targaryen + Dothraki
Week 5 (16 May): Hand of the King + King’s Council
Week 6 (23 May): House of Tully + Arryn
Week 7 (30 May): Night’s Watch + Battle for the Throne
New episodes of Game Of Thrones air on Sky Atlantic on Mondays at 9pm.
