Gameplay videos of Sonic: Lost World's Wii U and 3DS versions
Take a long look at the Hedgehog's gravity-defying exploits
Sonic: Lost World is fast, colorful, and filled with new takes on series staples. See it yourself in IGN's first look at both the Wii U and 3DS versions of the upcoming game, ahead of its debut at E3 next week.
That's the Wii U version above. On top of the play you see there, Sonic: Lost World will also add in a cooperative play mode which casts a Wii-remote bearing player as Sonic's sidekick Tails, lending a hand through remote-controlled gadgets, and a local competitive mode using the GamePad and TV screens.
Above is the same Windy Hill region as the previous video, but this time for 3DS. It bears the same name and a similar approach, but it's not a port; Sonic: Lost World for 3DS has entirely new level designs to match the mobile system's capabilities. It will support four-player Versus mode locally or online.

I got a BA in journalism from Central Michigan University - though the best education I received there was from CM Life, its student-run newspaper. Long before that, I started pursuing my degree in video games by bugging my older brother to let me play Zelda on the Super Nintendo. I've previously been a news intern for GameSpot, a news writer for CVG, and now I'm a staff writer here at GamesRadar.
