Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan

Platform: Nintendo 3DS
EU: February 28

Billed by publisher Atlus as a tribute to the RPGs of yore, Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan offers an old-school role-playing experience with modern, three-dimensional graphics befitting of the 3DS. In it, players will traverse the Yggdrasil Labyrinth in search of treasure and secrets while fighting FOEs that stand in their way. This sequel will feature 10 different character classes and a casual mode that will allow series newbies to get a taste for the otherwise hardcore retro adventuring. Fans of the series will also appreciate the game's soundtrack, which will once again be provided by series composer and all-around game music mastermind, Yuzo Koshiro.

Rayman Legends

Platform: Wii U

Rayman, Globox, and the Teensies return for another round of gorgeously animated platforming in this Wii U exclusive. The sequel to 2011's Rayman Origins, Legends follows the colorful crew as they are sucked into a mysterious painting and transported to a new land in dire need of saving. The game will introduce a new character, Barbara, and allow an additional player to control Murfy through the Wii U Gamepad. A typical level will consist of up to to four players doing the grunt work on screen while Murfy assists them from the air by clearing paths, activating devises, gathering collectibles, or distracting enemies. Rayman Legends will also feature music-based levels through which players will run, jump, and pummel enemies in timing to the soundtrack. Those looking to take advantage of the Wii U's multiplayer functionality will also be able to test their mettle against friends through numerous challenges and online leaderboards.

A Valley Without Wind 2

Platform: PC

Raise armies, fight demons, and lead a rebellion against the evil lord Demonaica in this reimagining of Arcen Games' A Valley Without Wind. The game casts players as a talented mage who has infiltrated Demonaica's inner circle and must take it apart from the inside. A Valley Without Wind 2 will task players with exploring an isometric world to recruit soldiers, acquire resources, and build the armies and tools needed to bring Demonaica and his crystal-wielding cohorts to their knees. The game will also include a heavy platforming and action component wherein players will venture through 2D environments ridding the world of the dangers that lurk within them. The world will be randomly generated with each play, and other players will have the ability to join the quest via co-op multiplayer.
