Games that were hated before they were released
Who needs to play games to judge them? These all suck!
Why it got hated on: No PC-dedicated servers.
To legions of PC players this is still as painful as an open wound that’s had a pint of Tabasco poured into it. While console gamers filled their undergarments with Infinity Ward-worshiping excitement, the PC crowd were left bitterly disappointed by a perceived one-fingered salute in their direction. The lack of dedicated servers may not sound like a big deal to the uninformed, but in the eyes of the keyboard and mouse clan it’s like the game’s multi-player has been neutered.
Taking out servers built specifically for the PC means players can no longer customize or mod the game. The console-esque matchmaking also reduces the size of games to 18 players. Many gamers were so irate they felt the need to quell the excitement over the game’s release by throwing big buckets of ice cool resentment in our Super Review comments section.
