Stealth-action game from Close to the Sun developer, Steel Seed, gets a new narrative trailer at the Future Games Show as well as an April 10 release date.

From Storm in a Teacup and publisher ESDigital Games, Steel Seed features protagonist Zoe and her drone companion Koby plunging into a colossal facility built for machines after a catastrophe left Earth uninhabitable. As humanity edges closer to annihilation, this facility may hold the solution to survival, but it's also full of horrible robots out to kill the hopeful duo.

The vast and varied environments of the facility afford plenty of opportunities for stealth, letting you dip into shadows and distract enemies to evade detection. However, while stealth is a big part of the game, so is going loud and fighting enemy robots head on. Zoe has three skill trees packed with upgrades to unlock, while Koby has a few of its own tricks too. You'll need to master attacking and dodging while also calling upon Koby to support you with his gadgets.

Outside of battling robots, Zoe has plenty of parkour skills to help her traverse hazardous environments and gain an advantage prior to a fight. Meanwhile, Koby continues to assist Zoe, helping with puzzles. It can also be controlled in Flight Mode, which allows Koby to scan whatever is nearby to uncover secrets and upgrades for Zoe, or scout for enemies to help in the next encounter.

Steel Seed is out in April on PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. While it's not a particularly long wait, you should check out the Steam demo and add it to your wishlist. You can also follow the developers on Twitter to stay up to date with any news.
