Knowing where to sleep in Gothic 1 Remake is an important question, as sleeping allows you to progress time and restore health and mana for free. However, finding a bed to sleep in isn't easy, as pretty much all the beds you're likely to find are claimed by other characters who won't be especially happy to see you stealing their bed from them. If you want to know how to find the location of a free bed for you to sleep in whenever you want in the Gothic Remake, I'll lay that out below.

How to get a bed to sleep in the Gothic 1 Remake
To get a bed in the Gothic 1 Remake and a free place to sleep, you need to head to the Old Camp, the large settlement on the left as you descend out of the starting canyon.
Once inside, follow the path around the outside of the castle wall until you reach The Arena. Rather than go down on the right past the Gothic 1 Remake Scatty's Chest objective, head up to the left and the viewing stands. Speak to a character who should be around there named Guy.
When talking to him about places to stay, Guy will tell you that a hut with red awning on it is free. To find it, continue just past the arena viewing stands and you should see it on your left, as shown below.
Inside is a bed you can sleep in as much as you want, as well as a chest you can store items inside. Sleeping in the bed restores both health and mana used for casting spells, as well as progressing time.
