The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin gets a new trailer revealing that pre-registration is live now!

Publisher Netmarble just released a brand new trailer for upcoming anime tie-in The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin as part of the Future Games Show. And the trailer gives excited fans a lot to check out, showcasing new gameplay, new story details, and the reveal that pre-registration for the game has gone live right now!

I'm not well-acquainted with the original anime myself, but it seems that's not going to be a huge issue, as the game will be a new story simply set within the world and canon of the IP, "between the timelines of The Seven Deadly Sins and Four Knights of the Apocalypse", with both new and returning characters accordingly.

Meanwhile, the gameplay shown is flashy and colourful, with open world exploration, puzzles to be solved, and flashy fantasy battles against pasty, sharp-toothed monsters. There's even a sequence of one character running around on a kaiju-sized beast that evoked pleasant memories of Shadow of the Colossus or Dragon's Dogma 2.

Not only that, the world itself appears to be designed with dynamic variation like day/night cycles and changing weather that will impact the behavior of monsters and quest-givers alike. After all, who wants to go out and recruit heroes when it's cold and raining? Surely rescuing somebody who vanished while flower-picking by Giant Spider Caves can't be that urgent.

The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin should be available for pre-registration on the official site with the release of the trailer. Not only that, but you can wishlist the game on PS5 and Steam now, and get more info by following the game's official social media channels on Twitter and Youtube.
