New inZOI patch dubbed the "GTA 6 update" by eager fans, adding everything from cozy flower shops to car theft to the Sims 4 competitor

inZOI has had a bit of a rocky Early Access journey since its March 2025 launch, when PUBG developer Krafton released its ultra-realistic life sim on Steam, from dwindling players to a cozy Stardew Valley-like DLC – and now, a massive new update.

The visually impressive competitor to The Sims 4 has been on my mind since director and producer Hyungjun 'Kjun' Kim's confirmation that inZOI is getting multiplayer and some of the most hotly requested features in EA's own community – like actual, interactive schools.

It's clear Krafton is working hard to implement its promised content now, and its latest patch proves as much. Arriving just in time for inZOI's first anniversary, it's big big.

Krafton unveils the update, which brings inZOI up to version 0.7.0, in an announcement on Steam. There are new businesses now, from cozy flower shops to bustling movie theaters, where Zois can work and/or enjoy themselves.

The business-related tweaks don't end there, either – expect to see new interactions, tip jars (!!!), vendor reactions, and more. The dev has also added a minimap, making navigation (and finding Zois) easier.

There are plenty of welcome changes to driving, too, like family-exclusive parking spaces, public parking lots, bicycle-riding, and, erm… theft. Yes, that's right. As players are already joking, this is the "GTA 6 update."

One fan jests, "GTA comes to inZOI before GTA 6, what a world" – a comment I can't even say I'm surprised to see at this point. But, regardless, yes, your Zois can drive any cars they see around the city now.

And, yep, they can also face punishment for it. Police can arrest Zois for (sigh) grand theft auto and other theft, resulting in a trial and inability to travel before said trial. The chances of getting arrested for misdemeanors, however, "have been reduced," apparently.

Aside from the more criminal side of things, Krafton has revamped the smartphone, added a new 28-day month calendar system, festivals for each season's holidays, and more.

The dev has reworked babies (one of the most complained about features in The Sims 4), too, and both conversations and interactions – romance, social events, urges, and you name it.

Another highlight is the Create a Zoi refresh, where "body shapes have been adjusted to appear more realistic." This has been a long time coming, and it's something EA is still trying to properly ace in its own game as well. I, for one, am thrilled.

Honestly, there are so many changes, it's hard to describe them all here. I'd recommend that any excited fans give the full patch notes a good look-through for a full rundown – it's well worth it, as is playing 0.7.0. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have cars to steal.
