Gaming's big-ass booms!
VIDEO: See the explosions that rocked your face off
When you ask gamers what they love about explosions, you’re most likely going to get one or a combination of the following answers:
•Explosions are BIG!
•Explosions are BRIGHT!
•Explosions are LOUD!
•Explosions are EXCITING!
•ASPLOAD AM SHINY111
•Explosions are HELLA COOL! (Or MAD cool, if you’re on the East Coast.)
Then ask gamers WHY they think explosions are so effin’ awesome, and most won’t be able to answer that question. It’s like asking why babies like colorful things that move – they just do. We have the primal desire to play with fire, and the gratuitous explosions in videogames exaggerate the sensations we inexplicably love so much.
