In the Guardians of the Galaxy comics, Gamora hates "The Mad Titan" Thanos and desires his death above all else. But here in the real world, the actress who plays her on the big screen has a different perspective. Speaking to ComicBook.com, Zoe Saldana said she thinks that Nebula, played by Karen Gillan, deserves to strike the killing blow.
"I think that me, as his golden child, I sort of gave up," Saldana said. "I'm done. I'm resolved. I wouldn't want anybody else to put him in his place more than the first person he struck and he hurt the most which is his kids. So, I would want Nebula to do it."
We already know that Nebula will be joining the team in Guardians of the Galaxy 2, and that she has unresolved conflict with her "sister" Gamora. Maybe a common foe can help unite them? "I would love to go with my sister and kill daddy dearest," Saldana said. Aww, that sounds nice. Little family bonding moment.
Of course, every good fight scene (which Thanos, Nebula, and Gamora surely deserve) has to have a good soundtrack, and the Guardians of the Galaxy 2 setlist is pretty dang great. And over in the realm of video games, the Telltale Guardians of the Galaxy series is... it's fine.
