Gears of War 3 campaign trailer is as dementedly awesome as you hoped
New video is full of story details, gigantic monsters
Promised a week agoin a tantalizing teaser, the full trailer for the campaign in Gears of War 3 is finally here. Filled with explosions, death, explosions, mysteries, and explosions, it’s every bit as bombastic as we had hoped. Just like previous looks at the game, it seems our heroes are mostly on the defensive, as consistently bigger beasts are on the attack.
That song in the background is War Pigs by Black Sabbath in case you’re interested. It’s a more straight forward hard rock choice compared to earlier trailers, particularly the original title’s unforgettable Mad World trailer. However, War Pigs has a pretty strong anti-war statement, so perhaps it backs up our earlier predictionsthat GoW3 will feature humanity and the Locusts stopping their seemingly endless battle in favor of a common enemy like the Lambent. Just a thought.
