GeForce NOW is making it easier than ever to get into popular games, no matter your hardware
When it comes to gaming, NVIDIA’s graphics hardware has long been one of the most rewarding platforms to play on. With NVIDIA’s GeForce NOW cloud gaming service, you no longer need to own that hardware to game on it. And, with the introduction of GFN Thursdays, you can stay up to speed with the latest games and updates for the service.
NVIDIA’s GeForce NOW service provides access to powerful gaming hardware in the cloud, requiring only a stable internet connection to take advantage of it. This means you don’t need to have a $1,000+ gaming PC to play the latest games with high-quality graphics. Instead, you can stream games to your PC, Mac, Chromebook, TV, phone, tablet, or even just a web browser using the same internet connection you’d already be paying for to play many games normally.
GeForce NOW has a library of over 1,000 games supported, and that list is growing. Nearly 100 of those games are free-to-play titles and considering that GeForce NOW has a free tier, you can jump into popular games like Apex Legends and Destiny 2 without having to pay a cent for extra hardware or services beyond what you already have.
NVIDIA GeForce NOW stays up-to-date with its games, too. So you can hop right into Apex Legends Season 10 and take the new Legend, Seer, for a spin. Test out Seer’s microdrones or the new Rampage LMG on the new Decimated World’s End map all while playing on your phone, laptop, or the device of your choosing.
Though, for $9.99/month, GeForce NOW’s premium tier provides longer gaming sessions, priority access to servers, and higher-end graphics with real-time ray-tracing and DLSS support. To top it off, since GeForce NOW is running games from Steam, Uplay, Epic Games Store, and GOG.com, you don’t have to repurchase games you already own from those stores.
Since the service is running on hardware in the cloud, GeForce NOW also takes some of the tedium out of PC gaming. NVIDIA keeps games automatically updated with game files and your save files stored in the cloud. This means that when you want to play, regardless of which device you use to connect, you’ll find games already have the latest updates installed — no more hours-long installs and updates getting in your way. And, since GeForce NOW is still technically PC gaming, you can still play with your friends online.
So, whether you don’t want a gaming PC or are just waiting to build one, all it takes is a quick sign-up to NVIDIA’s GeForce NOW service to get you into the game NOW on the hardware you do have. And, GFN Thursdays will keep you up to speed on the latest games and updates coming to the platform.
