Take a closer look at Game of Thrones' letter where Jon tells Sansa he totally bent the knee

This up-close look at the letter from episode 7 of Game of Thrones, where Jon informs his sister Sansa that he's "bent the knee" to Daenerys, reveals two must-know details to Game of Thrones addicts. One, the Game of Thrones props department is hella skilled, and two, Jon Snow has really beautiful penmanship. We're talking '8th grade handwriting competition special award' stuff.

The letter got a passing mention in episode 7, but this is the first time we've been able to see the text in full.

Sansa, Cersei Lannister has pledged her forces to our cause, as has Daenerys Targaryen. And if we survive this war, I have pledged our forces to Daenerys as the rightful Queen of the Seven Kingdoms. We are both coming to organise the defence of the realm. Jon Snow, Warden of the North

Will another raven come bearing news of what else Jon Snow bent in his relations with the rightful Queen of the Seven Kingdoms? Only time (and the torturous wait for season 8) will tell.

The Making of Game of Thrones blog also gave us a look at the dusty diary of High Septon Maynard that - with some help from Gilly - blew the lid off the whole Jon Snow parentage situation:

Game of Thrones season 8 is set to start filming this October, so we might have to wait until 2019 before we finally see the results of the pledges Jon, Daenerys, and Cersei have made.
