Loot Crate announced a new gaming-themed subscription at PAX South today, and you'll never guess what it's called. Oh, did you say "Loot Gaming"? Well … yes, that's absolutely correct, actually. The new line is set to debut this spring, and will cost $25 plus shipping and handling per month.
If you've not heard of Loot Crate by now, think of it like a subscription to surprises. Every month you receive a box in the mail with nerdy goodies - stuff like Doctor Who T-shirts, Pokemon pins, Marvel action figures, and the like - but you don't know what it'll contain until you receive it. Almost every item in a Loot Crate is exclusive to the service, so it's not like you're getting the leftovers of a Hot Topic clearance sale.
Regular Loot Crate subscriptions typically come with at least one piece of video game merch, but Loot Gaming will be dedicated solely to the world of games. The first Loot Gaming crate will be "Legacy" themed and package items from the Elder Scrolls, Halo, and Street Fighter series. And if you prefer a mix, don't worry; gaming swag will still show up in regular Loot Crates.
Although there's no specific date as to when Loot Gaming subscriptions will go live, you can sign up to be notified on the Loot Crate website.
