"To the supernatural world we say, ‘Bring It On Bitch!’”
A couple of weeks back, the CW announced that it was making a Supernatural spin-off series for the web. Based around the show’s titular gang of spook hunters (who have featured in three episodes of Supernatural), Ghostfacers will follow the adentures of Ed Zeddmore, Harry Spengler, Maggie Zeddmore, Kenny Spruce and new intern Ambyr.
“Two of the Ghostfacers – AJ Buckley and Travis Wester – wrote the new webisodes with Patrick Doody and Chris Valenziano, and it dovetails with Supernatural pretty good,” says producer Phil Sgriccia. “It’s one story and they’re going to cut it up into ten pieces, three minutes a piece. The Ghostfacers go to an old movie theatre and find some old film and it turns out it has a ghost presence to it. Hopefully we’ll launch a new series onto the world, but this web format is all new territory.”
“It’s great to be part of the Supernatural franchise,” adds Buckley. “We’re really grateful for how the fans have embraced the Ghostfacers. The movement started with us four and now there’s the UK Facers bringing it. We need some Irish Facers, some Polish Facers, because there’s a lot of shit happening in the other world that we need help with. To the supernatural world we say, ‘Bring it, bitch!’”
