Glenn Close to join Guardians Of The Galaxy
She’ll play the head of Nova Corps
Guardians Of The Galaxy continues to fill out its supporting cast with a selection of interesting players, with Glenn Close the latest in line to join the growing ensemble.
Close follows hot on the heels of John C. Reilly, who we recently learned has been offered a supporting role as a character named Rhomman Dey.
Deadline reports that Close is in talks to play one of Dey’s superiors, and the leader of Nova Corps. Think of her as a kind of Nick Fury figure, minus the eyepatch.
With Marvel eyeing up Hugh Laurie, Ken Watanabe and Alan Rickman to play Reilly’s number two, it’s shaping up to be quite the eclectic cast, while Close usually brings a touch of class to anything she’s involved with.
Directed by James Gunn and co-starring Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana and Michael Rooker, Guardians Of The Galaxy will open in the UK on 1 August 2014.
