Golden Globe nominations (2008)

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association – whose members decide which films and filmmakers get the Golden Globe Awards – are facing a quandary this year.

The Writers Guild of America has asked actors (and directors) to stand in solidarity with its striking members, and several talented types (including Knocked Up’s Katherine Heigl) have already agreed.

Still, the HFPA will go ahead with the awards as planned, handing out the gongs on 13 January, and Atonement, among other movies is sitting pretty with several nominations, including director Joe Wright and actors James McAvoy and Keira Knightley.

The rest of the film nominations are below. We’re just hoping the Walk Hard song wins.
