What do you get when you cross Star Wars' Princess Leia, Marvel's The Avengers and Archie from Archie Comics? Mark Freakin' Waid, that's what. A 30-year veteran of the comics industry and Eisner Award winner, Waid has had a hand in shaping characters everyone knows and loves. Spider-Man, Superman, Batman, The Flash, Daredevil and more count him as friend - or they would, if they weren't fictional characters.
The point is, Waid's work is some of the best in the business, and GamesRadar+ jumped at the opportunity to interview him at San Diego Comic-Con 2015, where we learned more about the reasons behind the ethnic and gender diversity Marvel's All-New, All-Different Avengers, the end of the Princess Leia comic, and the Archie reboot.
