Gran Turismo 4 delayed until autumn
Plus! Online communities and PS2 hard drive support confirmed
It appears as if the release of Gran Turismo 4 is now even further away than we had feared, with an autumn on-sale date now looking likely.
The hugely-anticipated racer was originally due out late last year but was then put back to spring 2004. In January, Sony admitted that a June/July release was more probable but, at a press event yesterday, the company revealed that the game's projected release is now the autumn.
Sony also confirmed that the game's online mode will support up to six players and that online communities will be created around the racing in order to allow players to chat with one another. The game will also support the 40GB PS2 hard drive - which is out next month in the US, although we're still waiting on confirmation of a UK release date - but it's not clear at present what additional features will be enabled by using it.
