Gran Turismo 5: Prologue - new shots
Set for October in Japan, but no word on a US release date yet
Last week, Sony revealed that Gran Turismo 5: Prologue would be out this year. And now, series developer Polyphony has quickly followed up confirming it'll release in October - in Japan at least.
Sony was unavailable for comment on a US or UK release date at the time of writing, but keep those driving fingers crossed for its appearance before we bid farewell to 2007.
It was confirmed at E3 last week that GT 5: Prologue, which will be downloadable via PSN, will feature online play. And according to reports, Polyphony plans to include several cars that will be unveiled at this year's Tokyo Motor Show in October.
It's also currentlyunclear whether the sampler will be released for free or whether it willrequire gamers to cough up cold, hard cash.
Sony has also announced Disgaea 3 for PS3, a new title from the creator of Katamari Damacy, and a LocoRoco game for the next-gen console at an event in Japan today, IGN reports.
