Grand Theft Auto IV: Special Edition in the works
Pack to come with bonus items, hefty price tag
Today, Rockstar announced that a Special Edition of Grand Theft Auto IV will be released on October 16 in North America and October 19 in Europe - the same day the regular edition releases at retail.
The special package - in the form of a metal safety deposit box - will contain:
- Grand Theft Auto IV: Special Edition - the game in special limited packaging, in other words, for either PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360
- A GTA IV art book featuring exclusive artwork
- A "selected CD soundtrack" which features "new material from top artists, only available on this release" - hinting at original songs on the game's soundtrack
- A Rockstar keychain to keep the safety deposit box locked - presumably so minors can't accidentally gain access to your copy of the game, keeping Jack Thompson happy
- A Rockstar duffel bag
The whole shebang will cost you $89.99. But how many games come with luggage? Hopefully Rockstar will see fit to release pics of the goods before the pack hits shelves.
