Grand Theft Auto: Vice City's intro gets a fan remaster, it's the raddest thing you'll see all week
Some too-good-for-this-world angel has taken Grand Theft Auto: Vice City's intro and remastered it into a stylish, VHS-artifacted nostalgia bomb. And it's making me really conflicted. Every few seconds I have to remind myself that I actually am glad Rockstar is spending its limited resources on creating new games like Red Dead Redemption 2 instead of remaking old favorites like Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. Even though I used to spend hours just roaming around the mall and changing Tommy Vercetti's shirt. This is fine.
And no, it doesn't seem like Balazs Kalocsai, the video's creator, has any plans to work on Vice City Remastered as an actual fan game. Probably for the best. There would be way, way too many tears when Rockstar inevitably shuts it down.

I got a BA in journalism from Central Michigan University - though the best education I received there was from CM Life, its student-run newspaper. Long before that, I started pursuing my degree in video games by bugging my older brother to let me play Zelda on the Super Nintendo. I've previously been a news intern for GameSpot, a news writer for CVG, and now I'm a staff writer here at GamesRadar.
