Greenpeace gives Nintendo a failing grade, again
...and somewhere, a lone plumber sheds a single tear
It 'aint easy being green. Greenpeace's latest Guide to Greener Electronics report once again names Nintendo as the worst environmental offender amongst its electronics manufacturer peers, with a dismal score of 1.8 out of a possible 10, and little to no improvement over its previous standing.
Above: Lies! All of it, lies!
The report cites Nintendo's lack of e-waste and recycling initiatives, increased greenhouse gas emissions, and a host of other ominous environmental buzzwords. On the plus side, Nintendo did score a 'partially good' in 'chemicals management,' so at leat the Wii won't cause any mutated flipper babies.
As for the other gaming manufacturers, Microsoft ranked second last with 1.9, while Sony landed in sixth place with a respectable score of 5.1.
