GTA: Episodes from Liberty City delayed due to "content changes"

We've just received word from Rockstar Games that Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City, as well as the two downloadable expansions The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony, have been delayed by two weeks. PS3 and PC players will now have to wait until April 13 in North America and April 16 in other countries.

The delay is a bummer, of course, but what's worrisome - especially for EuropeanPS3 owners- is the reason. According to our email, Sony Europe has requested that Rockstar "make some minor content changes to the PAL PS3 version" and that the extra two weeks are "needed to complete submission."

Is this the Hot Coffee controversy all over again? No. According toa post on Rockstar's official blog, the only edits will be to "radio station, television, and internet content." So most gamers probably won't even notice. We hope.

Still angry and confused? We suggest you read thequick Q&Athe company haspublished, which answers questions such as why the content is only being edited for Europe and why North American gamers have to wait as well. If any further details are revealed, we'll be sure to let you know as soon as possible.

Until then, let's ignore facts and imagine the worst... through Photoshop!
