Gunstar Heroes on Wii
Four new Virtual Console games arrive
A couple of months ago, Nintendo promised to deliver new content to its Virtual Console every Monday. So far, it's made good on that promise. Joining the ranks today are Ice Hockey (NES, 500 points), Gunstar Heroes (Genesis, 800 points), Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine (Genesis, 800 points) and the big hitter, Alien Crush (TurboGrafx16, 600 points).
Overall, a pretty good haul compared to last week's majorly weak update (Donkey Kong Jr.? We're done with that, thanks). The inclusion of Crush is sure to summon aging gamers out of their daily lives and back onto the television set, and Heroes remains one of the hardiest shooters ever made. Hell, we're even excited about Machine's hoppin' soundtrack (seriously, check out the versus mode tune). Oh, then there's Ice Hockey. Have fun with that.
Check back next Monday for more games - we're still holding out for Super Mario World and Super Castlevania IV.
