Bungie, the developer responsible for the almighty Halo series, has released a behind-the-scenes documentary on the making of the Halo 3 trailer, which was first shown at this year's E3.
The footage has Master Chief looking into a huge abyss where the city of New Mombasa used to be and raised more questions about the FPS sequel than it answered. But as various members of the Bungie development team reveal this was the point.
Also discussed in this fascinating short film is the Halo 3 game engine which was used for the E3 trailer, rather than FMV, with the engineers and artists adamant that everything you can see in the background is really there.
Finally, the composer behind the swelling music score explains why there were "no singing monks" for this one. It's a great little documentary and definitely worth five minutes of any Halo fan's time.
