A Halo 4 Game of the Year Edition will launch this October. The product was first outed by an IGN source and later confirmed by Microsoft. Priced at $49.99, it will come with the game itself, Spartan Ops Season 1, a War Games Map Pass, the Halo 4 Champions Bundle and the digital content previously available as pre-order bonuses or in the Halo 4 Limited Edition.
Microsoft said: “A Game of the Year Edition of Halo 4 will be offered this October, offering tremendous value for fans who want to enjoy one of the most critically acclaimed games of 2012, and additional DLC all in one place. We will have more details to share during the live stream of the Halo Global Championship Finals this Sunday.”
A GameStop source also told IGN that 2K Games is to release a Borderlands 2 Game of the Year Edition soon. While a release date wasn’t specified and the game’s publisher has yet to respond to a request for comment, the package is expected to include the title itself and all DLC released to date, including Creature Slaughter Dome, Psycho Pack, Captain Scarlet’s And Her Pirate’s Booty, Sir Hammerlock’s Big Game Hunt, Mister Torgue’s Campaign Of Carnage, Tiny Tina’s Assault On Dragon Keep, Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade and Mechromancer Pack.
