Halo 5's free January update is out - here's everything you get
Halo 5: Guardians continues its spree of monthly free content updates with Infinity's Armory, out today for everyone with the wherewithal to switch on the game. After last month's introduction of Forge mode, it's a slightly more... sedate pack we find, but packed with goodness nonetheless.
Chief among the additions is the ACHILLES armor (which yo ucan see above), a natty, Greek-inspired set. Earned by pushing your Spartan Company over Level 3 in all Kill Commendations for the armor, and Level 5 for the helmet, it's a testament to success, and it makes you look a bit like an upside-down ice skate.
Then there are the two new maps, Riptide for Arena - a twisting, multi-level labyrinth - and Urban for Warzone Assault - an open-air murder-dome. On top of those, there are over 50 new REQs, including some badly-drawn cartoon weapon skins, a couple of new Assassinations (one of which, the Ultra Rare "Stop Stabbing Yourself", you can see above) and, of course, the Halo 2 Battle Rifle - a Mythic loadout REQ that's also freely available in Forge, for anyone who wants to make a new map with an old flavour.
You can see the full list of new REQs and a bugfix list over on Halo Waypoint. A quick warning, though - the description for the new Riptide level actually contains some spoilers for the Campaign, so skip over that if you still haven't finished.
