Halo meets Jurassic Park in ORION: Prelude. Hold onto your butts
Hopefully, this won't be one big pile of shit
We love Halo. But there's one thing the series is sorely missing. Dinosaurs. It's been proven by chin-stroking science men everywhere that ancient scaly monsters make any FPS better. Just look at Turok: Evolutio... dang. Anyhoo, ORION Prelude looks way more promising. So, if you've got any love for tyrant lizard kings, shooty space marines or Jeff Goldblum quotes about piles of prehistoric shit, scroll below to watch the new trailer...
Based on Orion: Source, a multiplayer mod built from Valve's Half-Life 2 engine, the title is now being turned into a fully formed game and is even set for a release on XBLA and PSN, alongside Steam, naturally. Developer David Prassel has promised vehicles, tens of weapons and obviously an abundance of the most awesome dinosaur of all time.

With it's wide open environments and helmeted space dudes, Prelude looks to have more than a hint of Halo too it. Now, if you'll excuse us, we're going to dream of two of our favourite things in the whole wide world to whittle away the rest of our Friday.
