Halo TV series coming to Xbox One, Steven Speilberg involved
New premium live action show coming to Xbox One
Halo may never get the live action film treatment, but it seems Microsoft is giving players the next best thing with the Xbox One. Microsoft announced today that, after Halo's success in games, books, and the Forward Unto Dawn miniseries, developer 343 is now working on a premium, live action TV series based in the Halo universe that will appear on Xbox One. And Steven Spielberg is somehow involved.
The series was compared to such high profile TV shows as Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones, set in the world of Halo. Spielberg's involvement isn't totally clear just yet, but from the sound of it, this could be the foundation for Xbox One's new entertainment service. Is Microsoft starting its own version of HBO or Netflix?
