Halo who?

Portal
You won't find a wide variety of guns, grenades, and crazy items to blow away waves of enemies in Portal. But if you could, it'd be just like Halo 3 and every other shooter out there. Instead, Portal will bend your mind and test your reflexes with fast-paced puzzles that blow Halo 3's brainless single player campaign out of the water.

While you won't find anything more complicated than pushing a switch to open a door in Halo 3, Portal will have you leaping through walls, ceilings, and floors in what may be described as the first "first-person puzzler."

We're looking forward to getting our hands on the Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device, which lets you plant entry and exit portals on any surface to progress through Portal's brain-busting puzzles. While it may not be the "groundbreaking action game that will forever change the way gamers interact with their environment" that Valve says it'll be, Portal definitely looks like a refreshingly unique take on the genre.
