Hands-on with Gran Turismo HD Concept
Your corner-by-corner guide to Sony's hi-def race sim
Above: Turn off the driving assists as soon as possible - it'll improve the feel and challenge of the racing
Corner three: Tight hairpin left
It's essential that you drift as far to the right as you can before this hairpin, and turn in as late as you dare. It's possible to take the corner faster than you might think by gently accelerating into the compression of this steep corner to your advantage. Keep it smooth and gentle - use the throttle too roughly and you'll spin out.
To carry maximum speed through this section you need to exit the corner well balanced, enabling a full-throttle approach on the bridge. Going slower into and around the corner will help set you up properly - once you've learned how to use the steep corner to push you through the bend you can start to increase your speed.
