Harrison Ford will become the latest grizzled warhorse to join the cast of The Expendables 3 , with Sylvester Stallone confirming that he has finally bagged his man.
Stallone announced the news via Twitter while simultaneously revealing that Bruce Willis had left the project, a development he doesn’t sound too disappointed by…
“WILLIS OUT... HARRISON FORD IN !!!!,” reads the Tweet in question. “GREAT NEWS !!!!! Been waiting years for this!!!!”
Sounds like someone’s notoriously difficult personality might have rubbed Stallone up the wrong way, particularly given the next Tweet posted on Sly’s account.
“GREEDY AND LAZY ...... A SURE FORMULA FOR CAREER FAILURE.” Not that he’s naming any names or anything…
Production on the film is set to begin at the end of the year, ahead of a US release date of 15 August 2014.
