Harry's getting dirty again
Clint adds voice to videogame as the Dirty Harry collection heads for DVD
Admit it, we had you going there for a second, right? Yeah, it got us a little shaken up too – Clint Eastwood back in the flared slacks as Harry Callaghan… phew, that would be tough.
Thankfully, although ol’ gravel tones is slipping the Magnum back on, it’s only to advise and lend his voice to a major new videogame.
The interactive entertainment arm of Warner Bros are running the rule over a Dirty Harry game franchise in cahoots with Clint’s team at Malpaso Productions. Eastwood has also roped in some buddies to guest on the game: Gene Hackman will feature as fellow cop Al Bressler and Laurence Fishburne has signed up to voice Reverend Carlton Clay.
The game is not expected to end up in shops until sometime next year and it’s thought it will be made available on next generation consoles.
In further Harry news, Warner Bros have planned a box set for next year to run hand-in-hand with the game launch. All five movies are being transferred to HD DVD and may include bonus and special feature packages.
