Hear Carrie Fisher's (almost) hidden role in Dishonored
Tragically, Carrie Fisher died today at the far too young age of 60. Unsurprisingly there were plentiful tributes to the actress from co-stars, friends and admirers alike.
One of which intrigued me:
It's a little thing, but Carrie Fisher was gracious, funny and creatively open when we worked with her for a small role in #Dishonored. RIP.December 27, 2016
That's one of the directors of Dishonored up there, and for the life of me I couldn't remember Carrie Fisher in the game. It made a big fuss of its cast at the time, crowing names like Susan Sarandon, Michael Madsen and Chloë Grace Moretz, but I couldn't remember hearing Fisher.
That's because she played the part of 'alternate street speaker voice'. While out and about in Dunwall you'd often hear a loud speaker piping propaganda out into the city. For most people this was a man's voice. However, if you could find and kill the original speaker during the mission to remove the Lord Regent, then they would be replaced by Carrie Fisher.
You can hear her in the video below at 6m24s
