Henry Cavill talks kicking off DCs Cinematic Universe with the Justice League movie
After what seems like an eternity, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is finally just around the corner. The big fight between the two titular superheroes is something fans are really looking forward to, but with Justice League on the horizon the promise of what comes next is in some ways equally tantalising.
MTV caught up with Henry Cavill on the red carpet of the Oscars this past weekend and the actor talked about the mindsets of Batman and Superman, noting that while the Man of Steel would definitely best Batman in an all out fight, Superman "loves human beings and he doesn't want to hurt them", which gives "Batman an immediate advantage". While Cavill couldn't confirm any news of Mad Max: Fury Road director George Miller signing on as a producer for Justice League, it's clear that he's "looking forward to being a part of that whole gig" after reading the screenplay. We suspect that that excitement will only continue to grow once audiences get a look at Batman v Superman.
Directed by Zack Snyder and starring Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Diane Lane, Gal Gadot, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons, Laurence Fishburne and Amy Adams, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will arrive in UK and US cinemas on March 25, 2016.
