Hey, what's up with Arthur the Brave Knight? Capcom video tells a bizarre story
Soaring Rocky-esque saga tells of the hard downtime between adventures
Here's a video recently dug up by Capcom Unity, originally used to promote the PSP's Ultimate Ghosts 'n' Goblins release in Japan. It's still in Japanese, but you'll figure it out thanks to the recently added subtitles. Whereas many trailers will focus on the most action-packed moments in a character's business, this clip goes another way. It turns out that in the fifteen years between Super Ghouls 'n' Ghosts and the reappearance of series hero Arthur the Brave Knight... not much happened. And if you think that's a boring time for players, just think how hard fictional characters have it out here in the dull-ass real world.
Of course, Sir Arthur's Rocky-esque return to fighting fitness turned out to be a boon, not just for his PSP outing but later sidelines like November's Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, in which he'll flash his heart-shaped boxers alongside more current luminaries like Chris Redfield and Chun-li. Who else's life would you like to see explored in this sort of kitchen-sink manner?
