Konami may have cancelled their game, but the dynamic duo of Guillermo del Toro and Hideo Kojima just keep rolling along. Today, The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences announced that the PT pair will deliver the afternoon keynote speech for the 2016 annual DICE (Design, Innovate, Communicate, Entertain) summit.
"A Conversation with Hideo Kojima and Guillermo del Toro," as the session is called, will be moderated by industry veteran, host of the Video Game Awards, and noted Koji-friend, Geoff Keighley. A press release notes that the keynote will "offer insight into their creative vision and the driving forces behind their artistic pursuits," and will also "revisit some of their fondest memories from their own individual careers as well as some of the pivotal moments from each other’s work that remain a constant source of inspiration."
In other words, it sounds like if you want to learn how the creator of Metal Gear Solid became friends with the creator of Pan's Labyrinth, this will be right up your alley. If you're hoping for a surprise announcement of collaboration or the resurrection of Silent Hills, maybe not so much.
