Where to find Horizon Forbidden West Greenshine
The Greenshine slivers, fragments, chunks, and slabs we've found in Horizon Forbidden West
Horizon Forbidden West Greenshine is an essential resource within the game, as it's used both for upgrading your equipment and trading to get other items you need. It comes in many different sizes, working up through slivers, fragments, chunks, clusters, and slabs, and you'll find this dotted all over the map. Some of them will just be sat there in the open ready to be scooped up, but most are hidden out of view or require a piece of special gear in order to reach them in Horizon Forbidden West. Due to that, you'll often have to backtrack to collect them later on, once you've progressed further into the story and received the necessary kit to get access.
Below we have all of the Horizon Forbidden West Greenshine we've found. It's not every single piece but there's nearly 50 locations here to get you started, so use this list to upgrade your favorite weapons to top tier, or buy tricky machine parts instead of hunting for them.
How to get more Horizon Forbidden West Greenshine
You'll find Horizon Forbidden West Greenshine throughout your travels. It's a vital resource for upgrading gear, and can also be traded with merchants for rare or hard to get machine parts - saving you the effort of having to fight a Thunderjaw, say, for its heart.
While it can be found out in the open, a lot of it is hidden and requires special gear or activities to find. You can increase your chance to finding more by looking out for these things:
- Ruins - There are plenty of Ruins providing climbing puzzles to retrieve Relics. They often have Greenshine in them.
- Firegleam - These red crystals block your way a lot. You'll need to complete the Death's Door mision to unlock the Firegleam Ignitor to destroy it but when you do there's often Greenshine to be found behind.
- Metal Flowers - You'll need the Vine Cutter upgrade from the Seeds of the Past story mission to clear these things. When you do you'll often find Greenshine.
- Sunken Caverns - These large underwater areas are off limits until you reach the Diving Mask from the Sea of Sands story mission. WHen you have it look out for narrow gaps to squeeze through, or loose rocks to pry apart. You'll aften find a lot of Greenshine if you clear these locations out.
Generally, as you move right to left across the map, you'll find bigger and better rewards. In the opening area you'll only find Greenshine Slivers and Fragments, but as you move on you start to find Chunks, Clusters, and Slabs.
