How difficult can Kid Icarus: Uprising be? New trailer explains with intensity
New video from Nintendo shows the risks and rewards of Icarus’ shifting difficulty
Kid Icarus: Uprising may be the long-awaited reboot to the NES classic (to some) Kid Icarus, but that doesn’t mean it’s exactly the same. Nintendo fans that have paid attention know the game is at least half an on-rails shooter that shows off the 3D, but can that shooter be challenging to hardcore fans as well as Nintendo’s beloved casual crowd? This new trailer showcases just how the upcoming game’s difficulty scales along with the player’s skill.
As we discussed in an earlier preview, the sliding difficulty depends heavily on how many hearts you pick up and how good you do within a stage. You can play it safe, but as the end of the video shows, you get much better items for completing higher Intensity stages. You’ll be able to test Uprising’s difficulty yourself when it launches March 23.
